2nd/3rd Grade
My name is James Proby and it is my pleasure to serve as the 2nd and 3rd grade teacher
for the 2024~2025 school year. I am excited to be working with you and for you in
educating your children. It is my hope to join my talents with yours to collaborate and
provide new opportunities for students.
It is my opinion that generating a fundamental love of reading for enjoyment is a gift that all children should have. I am hopeful that your children will learn to appreciate and love reading. Helping them to expand their vocabulary, increase their comprehension and recall skills as well as having them learn mathematics, writing, science and language. Our classroom will be a positive environment to foster good relationships through trust and mutual respect.
I have worked 20+ years in education and have served the majority of that time in special
education. I have taught children of all grades, from kindergarten through 12th grade as
well as adult education. I have been privileged to work in traditional, charter and private schools. Each has areas that I felt were needed for that particular school and I enjoyed being a part of those organizations. Through my many years of service, I have held the positions of special day class teacher K-5, resource teacher for elementary, middle and high schools, Special Education Director and Principal.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Computer Information
Systems and my teaching credential from California State University San Marcos. I
earned my Master’s degree from Concordia University Irvine in Educational
Administration.
It is my goal to support all students and to collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure
every student is given every opportunity for success. If we all work together, I believe
that we can accomplish this and much more!
